Framework

With a view to guaranteeing food security, fuel security, energy security and economic and industrial development, the creation of the Free Zone for Integrated Development in Barra do Dande (ZFDIBD) commercially called DANDE Free Zone Angola (DFZA) was guided.

It is intended to create national strategic reserves, with a view to guaranteeing the existence of a capacity to respond to fortuitous phenomena, through the storage of essential products, sufficient to guarantee regular supply to the population, for a certain period and/or constitute a if in a fundamental instrument in the possession of the public entities to influence, decisively, the market of the referred essential goods, as well as to mitigate the effects of the cyclical crises and not only, in order to achieve security.

The Project provides for the creation of a fuel storage area (TOBD – Barra do Dande Ocean Terminal, developed by Sonangol), a food oil refinery and grain storage, a natural gas storage plant and a power plant, as well as an Industrial Complex. , which will be served by a port terminal, especially dedicated to the activities to be developed in the DANDE Free Zone Angola.

Strategic Objectives

Ensure the strategic reserve of fuels, as it is adjacent to the Barra do Dande Ocean Terminal (TOBD);
Ensure the strategic reserve and food security, through the construction of infrastructures for the storage of food products, including unprocessed ones;
Development of Industrial Poles and expansion of free trade;
Ensure energy issues, taking into account the potential of the hydrocarbon reservoirs that exist in this region, to promote the national energy transition.
